As part of an ongoing commitment to the promotion of performing arts in the Shoalhaven area, Nowra Players offers weekly drama classes for school students aged between 8 and 18.
All classes are conducted by trained and experienced teachers over the four school terms. The classes culminate in a production night at the theatre where students have the opportunity to showcase the skills they have acquired.
In addition, the Players host and sponsor the Shoalhaven Youth Drama Awards, an annual event where students from local schools perform dramatic pieces before a guest judge. Prizes are awarded in several categories including best individual and group pieces.
