The Nowra Players presents The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

By CS Lewis Adapted by Glynn Robbins

The delightful adaptation of C.S. Lewis’s well-loved tale of good and evil takes the audience on a magical tour to the land of Narnia with four children Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy, who stumble into this strange land through the wardrobe.  There they encounter the wicked White Witch, representing the forces of evil, and the King of the Beasts, Aslan the lion, representing all that is good and right.  With the children’s help the White Witch is destroyed, allowing good to triumph over evil in the time-honoured way.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is directed by Nowra Players President Ben Harnwell, who has been an member of the Nowra Players since age 4.  Ben says “I have a wonderful cast who are bringing the characters to life”.  He goes on to say that “the magical world is being brought to life in front of me each rehearsal, from the wicked minions of the White Witch, to the more friendly creatures of good.  This will be a great opportunity for children and adults to see the magic of ‘live’ theatre”.
